Duo Honored by Coast South

Evergreen Valley College's Ricardo Tovar and Jesus Valtierra were each named to the tops of the Coast South Conference. Tovar earned Forward of the Year, while Valtierra was the Midfielder of the Year.

Tovar led the club with 16 goals, ranking seventh in the State. The sophomore also added five assists. Valtierra had nine goals and 11 assists, with the freshman's assist total ranking 11th in the State.

The Hawks finished the season 15-3-4 in the second round of the 3C2A Playoffs. At one point during the season, EVC was No. 1 in the State and in the Nation.
