Eight Named All-Coast
Eight players were named to the All-Coast team. The Hawks secured their first conference title since 2010.
Freshmen defenders Kevin Pajaro (first team), Max Avalos (second team) and Kevin Pineda (second team) anchored a backline that produced eight shutouts this season. Pajaro also had three assists.
Anthony Villa, Mario Fregoso, and Jose Aguilar were all first-team midfielders. Arvit Baron was placed on the second team. Baron's eight goals ranked third, while he led the team with six assists. Aguilar finished his career with 33 career starts and 10 points. Fregoso, with 34 career games, became a starter in his sophomore season. Villa was a freshman with 17 games.
Freshman forward Manalo Joaquin had six goals and three assists to earn second-team honours.
Erick Luna Ramirez was named the Coast Player of the Year, and Simon Cook was named the Coach of the Year.
EVC reached the fourth round of the 3C2A Playoffs, falling one match short of the State Finals, winning the Coast title, and finishing the year 15-4-3. EVC reached as high as No. 1 in the State Power Point rankings during the season and No. 3 in a midseason national coaching poll.
